To see if this myth was really widespread, the ellaOne team took to the streets of London to ask people if this was something they thought was true and you’ll be shocked by the results…

Have you ever heard that the morning after pill can make you infertile?

There is no evidence that ellaOne has any effect on future fertility. In fact, fertility generally returns so quickly after taking ellaOne that you should use a barrier method of contraception until your next period.

ellaOne’s #FactNotFiction campaign aims to tackle this lack of public understanding around the morning after pill. We hope to empower people with the facts about emergency contraception so they can challenge the fiction and make better-informed decisions.

Do your bit to spread #FactNotFiction by sharing this article and letting people know that taking ellaOne will not make you infertile. If you’ve taken the morning after pill before then tell your story and help end the stigma!
