Sex education at school - what do you wish you had learnt?

Is there anything your school skimmed over during sex education? Did you learn about enthusiastic consent, female sexual pleasure and female contraceptives, or was it more of an “if you have sex, you will get pregnant and die” situation?

The ellaOne team recently headed to the streets to ask people about their experiences with sex education in school and what they wish they had been taught.

From destigmatising non-reproductive sex to learning more about consent, everyone felt like there was a topic they missed out on learning about.

What do you wish you’d learned about in sex education? Let us know on Twitter using hashtag #MyMorningAfter.

ellaOne is breaking the taboo about emergency contraception and encouraging women to come together to normalise this ‘issue’. No morning after comes without a story: we want to cultivate a sense of community by educating, empowering and encouraging women to embrace their unique experiences.

By sharing our stories, supporting each other and speaking openly about the morning after pill, we can stop women feeling isolated or ashamed by this experience.
