I have taken the morning after pill a handful of times from the age of 17.
Every time I have taken it has been from sex with my long term partner. There have been times though where, for whatever reason, it’s been unprotected and I’ve needed to take some emergency contraception.
It actually really annoys me that there is such stigma surrounding taking the morning after pill and it is viewed as for those who are irresponsible only. Firstly, where’s the judgement for the men? I’m sure we didn’t have sex by ourselves. And secondly, what is contraception for?! The choice to take it is responsible in itself.
