You can take emergency contraception up to five days after sex

I can’t remember which morning after pill I took.

I tried to get to the pharmacy the morning after but I was unable to and I thought that was my last chance and I’d just have to hope for the best. I was really lucky to have a school counsellor who told me I could take the morning after pill up to 5 days later. I was able to get it that afternoon.

I think it’s really unhelpful that you advertise as the morning after pill. If more people knew they could take it up to 5 days later and how easy it is to access then there would be less teen pregnancy.

ellaOne® 30mg film-coated tablet contains ulipristal acetate and is indicated for emergency contraception within 120 hours (5 days) of unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Always read the label.
