I decided to go and get the ellaOne morning after pill

 I’ve always been really cautious when it comes to using protection but a couple days ago I had a one night stand with a guy. We were drunk and had unprotected sex without even thinking about it. Right after finishing, I felt really ashamed of myself and really disappointed. Without thinking about it twice,  I decided to go and get the ellaOne morning after pill. I went with a close friend to the pharmacy.

I am still really nervous because I’ve read that it’s not 100% effective, but for now I’m going to try to stay calm and wait until I get my period. If I don’t get it in a couple of weeks I will take a pregnancy test as soon as possible to make sure I am not pregnant because I am not ready to have a kid right now.

Even though I am not sure if the pill has worked, I am really glad we have the chance to decide if we want to take it or not and it’s really easy to get it!

If you are also going through this moment where you don’t know if the pill has worked, try to do activities and stay busy so you don’t have time to overthink about it. I’m sure it will work but in case it doesn’t, we have to think that we can still decide what we want to do with our bodies. If we are not ready to have a kid, we still have the option of abortion.
